Beginner Jive (Thursday)

Overview:

For absolute beginners and novice dancers. Learn essential Jive rhythm, bounce action, and introductory leg and foot techniques.

Course Objectives:

• Proficiently practice basic Jive steps

• Develop bounce timing and energy

• Improve foot and leg coordination

• Maintain lively posture and performance

• Dance a short Jive combination confidently

Class Structure:

• 15–20 minutes physical conditioning

• 10–15 minutes basic step training

• 10–15 minutes technique explanation

• 15–20 minutes practice with music

• 15–20 minutes combination breakdown

• 1–2 minutes reserved for video recording and review

Jive (Saturday)

Overview:

Open to all levels. Learn primary bounce actions, movement forms, and musicality to improve stamina and performance.

Course Objectives:

• Practice various bounce types

• Learn kick action, swing movement, roll action

• Apply triple body rhythm for better dynamics

• Use timing accents both upward and downward

Class Structure:

• 15–20 minutes physical conditioning

• 10–15 minutes basic step practice

• 10–15 minutes technique explanation

• 15–20 minutes music practice

• 15–20 minutes choreography breakdown

• 1–2 minutes review and recording and review
