Beginner Cha Cha Cha (Monday)
Overview:
For absolute beginners and novice dancers. Systematic mastery of basic Cha Cha steps, foundational rhythm, and introductory foot and leg techniques.
Course Objectives:
• Master basic Cha Cha steps
• Learn fundamental Cha Cha rhythm
• Understand basic foot and leg techniques
• Develop correct dance posture
• Dance a short combination confidently to music
Class Structure:
• 15–20 minutes physical conditioning
• 10–15 minutes basic step practice
• 10–15 minutes technique explanation
• 15–20 minutes music practice
• 15–20 minutes choreography breakdown
• 1–2 minutes review and recording and review
Cha Cha Cha (Thursday)
Overview:
Open to all levels. Learn Cha Cha–specific pelvic action, body usage, and rhythmic structure for clean and playful movement.
Course Objectives:
• Achieve upper-body isolation with efficient hip usage
• Improve rotational control and sharp direction changes
• Use body shifting to create strong lines and curves
• Present music character with confidence
Class Structure:
• 15–20 minutes physical conditioning
• 10–15 minutes basic step training
• 10–15 minutes technique explanation
• 15–20 minutes practice with music
• 15–20 minutes combination breakdown
• 1–2 minutes reserved for video recording and review
Beginner Rumba & Cha Cha Cha (Saturday — Evanston)
Overview:
For absolute beginners and novice dancers. Learn foundational steps, rhythm, and basic leg and foot techniques for both Rumba and Cha Cha Cha.
Course Objectives:
• Master basic steps of both dances
• Understand timing differences
• Build correct posture and coordination
• Learn at least 10 beginner figures in total
• Perform short combinations in both dances confidently
Class Structure:
• 15–20 minutes physical conditioning
• 10–15 minutes basic step training
• 10–15 minutes technique explanation
• 15–20 minutes practice with music
• 15–20 minutes combination breakdown
• 1–2 minutes reserved for video recording and review
